It's only a week until xmas. Eeeeeek!

So if you celebrate it, it's probably time to make sure you've bought all those last minute presents, posted your cards and poured the last of the brandy onto the cake before icing can commence. Lots of icing. And none of your fondant stuff either. Ick! Proper royal icing is what I'm talking about! :)

I had shiatsu today, which, much like meditation, is wonderfully relaxing. Unfortunately, I came home to a rather stressful situation which undid the good work somewhat. Sod's Law I guess! Lol!

My mother-in-law got kept in "prison", I mean hospital, for another night and as I type I am waiting for a call to let me know I can pick her up... When I phoned over an hour ago they told me they were waiting for her meds from the pharmacy and couldn't give me a time when they would be done.

Brilliant! Not like I haven't got a business to run! Grr!

Anyway, as promised I have another Wordpress video for you. This time it shows you how to back up your site using a plugin called Xcloner.

Just like keeping a backup of the files on your computer, it's a good idea to keep a backup of your Wordpress site "just in case".

If Wordpress screws up on update or something otherwise untoward happens to your site you'd be gutted if you didn't have a copy of the files safe.

Yes, your hosting company is supposed to take care of it, but things can go wrong. Plus it's unlikely they would back up your database, so you stand to lose potentially months or even years of hard work.

Do you really want to rely on your hosting company to keep your posts safe?

Wouldn't you rather have the peace of mind of knowing that you have a regular backup scheduled that will be there if you ever need it?

Fortunately, it's not hard to do and since I am a wonderful human being (hee hee), this video will show you exactly what to do:

The next in the series of Wordpress videos will show you how to restore your site.

With it being Xmas day a week today, you can expect that towards the end of next week.

Happy backing up!

She started out as a programmer many moons ago, before the Internet as we know it today was born… No, not in the 1970s. She's not that old! How rude! :P

She's been working online since late 2011. She doesn't claim to know it all. She's still learning too, but she wants to share her knowledge with you and help you succeed online.

She's an ethical marketer and loves helping people to reach their goals. When she sends out a promotion it will always be well thought out, even if it means sending it a day or two after launch.

She will investigate it properly beforehand, get hold of a review copy or buy it herself. She wouldn't recommend anything that she didn't believe in or wouldn't use herself.

Her aim is to save you time by doing the research for you, to make it easier for you to figure out if a particular product is likely to be able to help you reach your goals.
