Session 004 Notes
(1) Our group continues to grow! At the time of this session we had 86 people from 18 countries registered. During the live session, 28 people participated.
(2) Topical focus: Perhaps more than ever, this Advent really needs each of us to connect with Christ, and our Holy Nights really need to be connected with Sophia. "The world-historic hour is upon us when we must take our spiritual education more into our own hands. We will succumb to the overwhelming pressure of external life if we do not learn to be strong in the spirit, to take into ourselves the forces which can empower an inner life and development sustained by the power of the spirit. Before very long it will be impossible for human beings to cope with existence if we do not realize that the guiding threads of our lives lead out far beyond the limits of our present existence." (3) Several handouts are related to, but go beyond, what was covered in class: (A) Invitation to the Six Basic Exercises Practice Group (B) Three Rudolf Steiner lecture excerpts (C) A Bible passage
(4) We will continue these sessions on our regular schedule of Wednesdays at 5 PM Pacific (UTC -8) all through the December and January holidays.
