Christ Jesus had the ability to work not only into the astral body (soul, psyche, feelings) but also into our life forces (etheric body), and all the way down into our physical (form) body. This ability is now exceedingly rare. The changes to the astral body of the human being make this almost impossible.
The Parable of the Sower appears in the Gospels of Luke, Matthew, Mark, and the non-canonical Gospel of Thomas. Great spiritual truths can be unveiled only gradually. In the Graeco-Roman epoch the human organism was still, in many cases, amenable to spiritual influences; hence that was the right moment for Christ Jesus to appear.
In the past, imagination was a necessity for healing. Since the advent of Christ, inspiration is increasingly required: "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." The Sower sows the Word. The seed is the Word of God, the divine word. In our present age the effects of spiritual truths will increase in strength to the point that in the future the soul-and-spirit will gain great power over the physical. “Spiritual Science is the great remedy for souls as they live on into the future.”
The Elohim of Genesis, the Spirits of Form, speak our reality, or cosmos, into being: "Let there be light." The Elohim are the cosmic beings that give form out of their power as beings of a certain rank and consciousness. This includes the creation of each human being. We are born out of an Idea, and every Idea is a Form. This is what is being sowed, or more specifically, broadcast.
Christ brought into the world a power of Egohood able to penetrate the human sheaths so completely that the whole organism could be affected. By His mere presence Christ healed diseases that originated in different members of man's being. The healings described in the Gospel of Luke are evidence of the mastery of the Christ-Ego over the astral, etheric, and physical bodies. Attainment of such mastery is the Ideal of human evolution.
