| All of a Feather
The idiom "birds of a feather flock together" appears in literature at least as far back as 1545 AD, but as a proverb and metaphor it likely goes back much farther in history. It seems fitting to use Feathers as the name for our newsletters highlighting events sponsored by other organizations. It reminds us that there are other "flocks" worth getting to know, building relationships with, and learning from.

| | The Dream Song of Olaf Åsteson: A Nordic Initiation Story
A 13-day dream & art online self-study video course that accompanies you through the 12 Holy Nights.
Kristena West, M.A.
The Dream Song of Olaf Åsteson is an ancient Norwegian folk song that Rudolf Steiner spoke about with great appreciation and insight. It was lost in time, but a clergyman named Landstad rediscovered it one night when he heard it in a winters-deep valley in Telmark, Norway. The song tells us Olaf falls asleep on Christmas eve and "sleeps" through the Holy Nights, waking on January 6th, Epiphany. While "sleeping" Olaf experiences secrets of the human being and cosmos. The dream-song gives us the "spiritual" pictures in poetic form of his initiation journey. As Joseph Campbell reminds us, the hero's journey is found in myths, legends, and poem-songs. The 13 Holy Days have been called "time outside of time" or "sacred time." It's a wonderful way to end the year and begin the new.
Registration closes: December 22, 2021 Cost: $75 Program schedule: December 24, 2021 through January 6, 2022 Every night, a part of the dream-song is revealed along with dream techniques, virtues to ponder, a journey through the zodiac, and art. After registration: You will receive an email with a link on December 24 for this online self-study video course.

| | | Combining the Most Genuine Inward Esotericism with the Greatest Conceivable Public Openness and Deeds
Presented by Lelan Harris
Rudolf Steiner’s vision was that everything we externally do and publicly say should manifest the truth and reality of our inward esotericism. He said that as anthroposophists, spiritual scientists, and esoteric Christians, we will only be taken seriously in all the varied realms of public life if we follow, moment by moment, the impulses and guidance that come from the spiritual world. He emphasized that we must develop the perceptive capacity and moral strength to both know and implement what the spiritual world wants to achieve in and through us for the redemption, healing, and transformation of Humanity, Earth, and Cosmos.
