February Wine Club!

Love is in the air this month at Barsha! February’s Wine Club is inspired by Valentine’s day and we have wines you will surely fall head over heels for. Classico will be flattered by a luxurious sparkling Brut Rose from France with wild berry flavors, along with a zesty Barbera, with hints of earthiness, cranberry, and boysenberry. Riserva features a seductive Brut Rose from Italy, fresh and complex with red fruit and hint of spice, and a juicy Sangiovese with rich red fruit and rounded out by a hint of caramel on the finish!

Ligier Cremant du Jura Brut Rose NV
Jura, France

This earthy, strawberry-scented Cremant du Jura Rosé is made of 100% Trousseau rather than Pinot Noir, thus placing the focus one of the Jura's signature indigenous grapes. Made using Methode Champenoise, this very elegant bubbly displays a super fine mousse, yeasty brioche notes and delicate wild berry flavors. This was aged for a minimum of 18 months on its lees.
Pairs wonderfully with Brie style cheese or with Shrimp and shellfish, smoked salmon, caviar, fried calamari, and oysters.

Grilled Oysters

Giornata 2017 Barbera
Paso Robles, CA

Filled with zest and juiciness! After fermentation in large-format oak casks, this wine ages for a few brief months before early spring bottling following harvest. This captures the exuberant, juicy and fresh fruit character of perfectly ripe Barbera. Glowing bright with aromatics of raspberry and maraschino cherries - almost gamay-like this vintage. The palate tastes more of the earth, with cranberry, boysenberry, and wild anise flavors flow through waves of brisk acidity.
Pairs well with rich dark meats, mushrooms, herbs, and blue cheese

Beef Tender Tip and Wild Mushroom Risotto

Cesarini Sforza Classico Trentodoc Rosé Brut
85% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir
Trentino, Italy

Pink pale in color with a bouquet of red fruit and a hint of spice on the nose. On the palate, the combination of the Chardonnay’s freshness and vitality matched with the complexity of the Pinot Noir creates a sense of approachability and elegance. The blend is balanced and complete.

Baked Prosciutto and Brie (Cooking Channel)

Terra Valentine Amore 2012
93% Sangiovese, 4% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley, California

The growing season of 2012 has been put down in the history books as a perfect year for Napa Valley varietals which can be tasted with this lovely wine. Black cherry, strawberry jam and candied blueberry fruits dominate the nose layered with vanilla, baking spices, and cocoa powder. Bright and juicy on the palate, the smooth and rich fruit tannins coat the palate rounding out with a nice note of caramel on the finish.

Caprese Pizza (PIY)

Garlic Bread Cheese

1st Place 2017 U.S. Championship Cheese Contest
2nd Place 2010 American Cheese Society Competition

Olli Pepperoni

Classically American salami that can be enjoyed on pizza,
sandwiches or sliced and served with your choice of cheese.

Hand Stuffed Gordal Olives with Peppadews

The name gordal means “the fat one” due to its round shape and large size (over 6gr). Due to its low oil content it is exclusively used for table olives. It has a fine delicate flavor, similar to manzanilla, and a firm, meaty texture. Losada uses a neutral brine which results in a balanced salt to bitterness ratio, so that you can really taste the flesh of the olive.
The PEPPADEW ® Sweet Piquanté Peppers Mild Whole are just as sharp in taste as the hot variety but are milder in flavour. They harness the perfect balance between tangy & spicy while highlighting those signature sweet notes. Their crisp, firm and whole texture is retained in our sweet and sour brine
