“Handpicked” Regional Selections Shiraz 2013
Barossa Valley, South Australia

Australia’s oldest and best known wine region, the Barossa Valley is a warm climate region famous for its bold Shiraz wines. It has has some of the world’s oldest Shiraz vines, which are protected in a heritage vine register. There is wide variation in the ancient soils but all are of low fertility and, together with old vines and often dry and hot conditions, produce fruit of great concentration. This 100% shiraz is known for its perfumed nose with spicy, dark plums and vanilla and cedar oak. The palate has juicy dark fruit flavors and generous ripe tannins.

Von Buhl Riesling Brut 2015
Germany

The Von Buhl estate has produced quality Riesling for over 160 years. Their wines have been served at many historic events including the opening of the Suez Canal and the Queen Mother's 100th birthday. Their sparkling Riesling is an elegant classic.
Refined, fruity scents & notes of peach, apple and apricot, with hints of citrus. The taste is powerful, fresh-dry and lasts on the palate. A festive aperitif but also pairs deliciously with numerous nautical starters.
90pts James Suckling

Acumen Mountainside Red Wine 2014
Napa, CA

This full-bodied wine starts with fragrant aromas of black cherries, English roses, mocha, sweet earth, and fresh blackberry pie. On the palate, we find mouth-coating flavors of blueberries, Santa Rosa plums, and baking spices with a pleasant grip of ripe tannins coupled with notes of toffee, rhubarb compote, fresh sage and cigar box on the long and pleasant finish.
The year 2014 is remembered locally in Napa Valley as “The Year of the Quake”, when a 6.0 tremor shook the region and affected the production of many wineries. Luckily, when there’s a will there’s a way and thanks to the much needed rain as well as the warm and gentle spring produced some of region’s top ranked wines is ranked as one of best vintages.
42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Malbec, 19% Merlot, 14% Cab Franc, 6% Petit Verdot
