Fall Maintenance Tips For Landlords
As the leaves change colors and the temperatures begin to dip, Indiana welcomes the cozy embrace of fall. For landlords and property managers, this season is more than just pumpkin-spiced lattes and warm sweaters; it’s the prelude to winter, and the best time to ensure properties are well-prepared for the colder months ahead. Think of fall maintenance as laying down a protective barrier, much like applying a fresh coat of paint to protect wood from the elements. In the world of real estate, foresight in fall can prevent costly repairs in winter. Let’s explore some essential maintenance tasks to tackle this season.

Owning Rental Property- Now Is The Time!

The average American can no longer afford to buy a home.

The typical homebuyer now spends 35 percent of their wages on housing expenses, above what is considered affordable and the highest level since 2007, according to a report released Thursday by Attom.

“The dynamics influencing the U.S. housing market appear to continuously work against everyday Americans, potentially to the point where they could start to have a significant impact on home prices,” Barber said. “We clearly aren’t there yet … but with basic homeownership now soaking up more than a third of average pay, the stage is set for some potential buyers to be priced out.”

So where are these average American's going to live? In rental properties. And many of them will want to rent the home they cannot afford to purchase.
