October this year has gifted us with crisp evenings, fresh mornings with steam rising
from the bath house; painted sunsets and turning leaves. As we once again see autumn
meandering towards winter, the seasonal beauty is everywhere. After a few early rains,
the green shoots of grass are popping up as tree leaves drop gently to the ground. With
the clear air and sparkling skies, it is a time that lends itself to visioning, reflection and remembrance.
Shifts in our own lives often mirror October’s clear transition. As the natural world cools,
sheds its leaves, and prepares for the stillness of winter, we are prompted to slow down
and look inward. The intense, active energy of summer gives way to a quieter, more
contemplative mood. The deepening colors—from fiery reds to rich golds—provide a
beautiful, nostalgic backdrop that encourages us to review the year’s growth, appreciate
the harvests (both literal and metaphorical), and determine what we are ready to let go
of before the cycle begins anew.
The waters here invite us to relax into this transition and bathe in their warmth and
serenity; we’re hoping you will heed the call and return to Wilbur with the many kindred
spirits who have made this place such a special sanctuary.
