Holding Space in Time
As we approach the summer solstice, we are reminded of how the Earth's natural cycles influence our own life rhythms. Seasons arrive and fade, and we experience them again in reflection, recalling the vibrant colors of wildflowers once summer has dried the landscape, or remembering the warmth of summer during a cold, rainy winter. As we navigate our own life cycles, we naturally reflect on previous times and dream towards our future.
Here at Wilbur Hot Springs, our team holds space for you to visit when you choose, but we also hold something less tangible and more meaningful: a sanctuary in time.
To enter this stillness is different from inactivity, which would be more like being calm in a physical space. Rather, it is what was beautifully described at one of our recent gatherings, a "joyful pause," which resides entirely in time. Because it transcends material things, it is a sacred space all its own, allowing us to simply "be."
Indeed, the time you experience here is yours everlasting. You may return to it in times of reflection and carry it with you always. While you may return here physically and find that the landscape or the buildings have changed in subtle ways over the seasons, that sense of joyful pause - in time - remains virtually unchanged.
