Flow Through Another Year
As we all navigate the holidays and contemplate the changes ahead in the New Year — the gatherings, solitude, joys and challenges that lie ahead of us — it can be a valuable exercise to cultivate a sense of flow. Water metaphors are numerous, and with good reason! Flexibility, refreshment, fertility, purification, emotion and even life itself are concepts frequently associated with water. In Wilbur’s world, healing, bathing, rest and revitalization are commonly linked to the medicinal waters. Why not add the notion of flow: proceeding ahead smoothly, effortlessly, economically and gracefully. When we are “in flow,” ideas, solutions and answers seem to appear so easily, particularly when compared to when we are forcing what our mind tells us should be happening. Consider “going with the flow” instead of “pushing water uphill.”

This season, be invited into flow: as you soak in the pools, the geothermal water emerges from deep within the earth, flowing into the flumes, across your body, back into the stream, eventually reaching the vastness of the sea. This is the very same physical flow that dozens of generations of humans have experienced in this wonderfully unique place. In flow, as in so many other ways, we are all connected through time and space. In this sense, we have common cause for celebration.

Best Wishes in the New Year!
From all of us at Wilbur Hot Springs
The Rain has Returned!
With every drop, more green grass is popping up in burned areas. We are so excited to see what emerges this spring!

We've made significant progress on our new trails — we are working on creating signage and finishing up a few remaining areas before we open them to the public for you all to explore. A few tributaries have started to flow again, and that means Beaver Dam Analog construction will be in full swing shortly. This is a fun and satisfying way to connect with the land and see in real time the positive difference that we humans can make. Be sure to join our Stewardship email list to stay up to date on all upcoming opportunities for this winter!
Hotel Updates
The Bunk Room is Open!
Wilbur’s co-ed bunk room is located in the Historic Hotel, in what was most recently Room #25. Each bunk is provided with a fitted sheet, pillow, and pillow case, and guests bring their own top bedding (blanket or sleeping bag). A designated drawer, hanging rod, and closet shelf for storage is provided along with an individual reading lamp and USB port on each bunk. There is a shared half-bath in the interior corridor of the hotel. Expect more activity around this room. Please note that the bunk room is available for adults 18 years and older. We’re pleased to offer the following rates for individuals staying in the new Bunk Room.
