LOCAL FIRE UPDATE
––––
As we all know, fire season has arrived early to Northern California, and Wilbur is no exception. Our remote location makes it necessary for all of us to be fully prepared in case of wildfire. As always, our guests’ safety and the protection of this sanctuary is our number one priority.

We’ve been working closely with our local Fire Department and Chief Gilbert over the past months. Together with Wilbur staff, we have created detailed fire safety plans, and taken every precaution to keep Wilbur safe this year. Recently, the Hennessy Fire gave us cause for concern, however the firefighters were able to control the fire about 8 miles south of Wilbur. For their efforts throughout the region, we are deeply thankful. In gratitude, we have extended a number of complimentary day use passes to firefighters and first responders, who have surely earned a bit of tranquility.

We encourage everyone to practice fire safety and be mindful of air quality when planning your visit. We specifically recommend checking local air quality indexes on AirNow.gov or PurpleAir.com prior to your visit. Prolonged exposure to smoke, for those with respiratory or heart conditions, is unsafe and should be avoided, whether traveling here to Wilbur or remaining in your local area.

During fire season, you can count on us to keep you informed, both before and during your visit, of any local conditions that could affect your experience with us. The good news is, that with the unique topography at Wilbur, air quality can shift dramatically in a short period of time. With the fires now largely contained, we can look forward to much improved air quality.

The ambiance here at Wilbur continues to remain calm, quiet, and tranquil as always. The waters await you! (look into getting a sensor for Wilbur springs)

GUEST CHEF WEEKEND UPDATE
––––

Guest Chef Weekend is a special event that is loved by many of our guests. With fresh and delectable meals, thoughtfully prepared by our wonderful guest chefs, it is truly hard not to love. Which is why many guests have been asking, when is the next event?

Due to Covid-19 and the protocols that we have in place for the safety of our guests and staff such as "No dining inside of the hotel" We have decided to cancel Guest Chef Weekend for the rest of 2020 with every intention to pick it back up as soon as it makes sense to do so. We will communicate with the Wilbur community on when Guest Chef Weekend will make a comeback, or possibly other options.
GUEST REVIEW
––––

"There is no place like Wilbur Hot Springs.
In my many visits there I've found the Springs water to be phenomenally rejuvenating.
The surrounding valley and serene, elegant atmosphere created by the Hotel with it's helpful and upbeat attendants puts Wilbur in a class all to itself.
Call ahead to make sure they have room, and if so....DON'T MISS IT!"
