Subject: What fun things can you do in Havana?

Dancing, Cooking, Cocktails and more...

Hola Friend,

Como estas?

Our Soul of Cuba trip was a great hit in October. Lots of fun to be had, we introduced a new cooking class experience in this itinerary and even Yunior had a blast doing it with the chef that hosted the experience. And he is a seasoned cook himself, you should see his chargrilled octopus!!

Now he is galivanting about the country side, first time since COVID started, he's venturing across to the eastern provinces. We are eagerly awaiting his updates, as with no return flights from there, we haven't ventured that far in a while, only because most people just don't have the time to take it all in. So far the clients are having a blast!

I have been working on some fabulous, albeit short itineraries for our guests.. around the 5 to 8 day mark. With that duration, we don't like to venture too far from Havana. And some people like it that way 🙂

So apart from the usual of the Old Havana Walking Tour, the classic car cruise around the iconic spots, Hemingway's trail, visiting the museums or even the rooftop bars, what else is there to do?

Well I have eluded on the cooking class. We have various options for this, depends on how involved you'd like to get. One of the options will see you head to the markets in Havana with our chef to obtain seasonal ingredients for your lunch. You'll see what is required to find everything you need, meet the suppliers purchase the goods, then return to the kitchen to cook them and in effect whip up your lunch that you then get to enjoy with a cocktail in hand. Fabulous way to learn about the flavours of Cuba!

Of course, Cuba is well known for the mojito and the daiquiri. We love our cocktail making session in Havana! You get to learn both + a house cocktail ... of course it is at one of the best bars in town so expect the house cocktail to be something fancy and delicious!

Given we support responsible drinking, you will also get our favourite snack along the way - the coquettes!!!

And while we are at it.. why not taste some delicious rums? Because there are plenty of varieties to be found on the island of sugar cane! Even better, learn how to pair your rum with your cigars!

Of course each of these are a different experience in their own right! and in 5 days, you can have a different indulgence each day 😍

Of course eating and drinking aren't the only things to do that are fun.

We can also take you dancing. Expect live music, dance teachers and not just salsa... although if you want to focus on that, by all means we can, but why not try DanzĂłn, salsa, rumba, son, cha cha cha and mambo while you are at it?

We think it's a fabulous idea!

Also, if you are into music, we can also see to it that you have a music workshop with the local musicians. After all, it'd always a great hit back at home to pull out some sexy latino tunes.

This is not all that Havana has on offer. This buzzing city has art and fashion shows, entrepreneur meetings show casing new products and all sorts of other things. If you are only here for a quick trip and want an action packed itinerary, it's definitely the place to stay!

Let us know if you'd like us to show you around!

Hasta Luego,

Orsolya & Yoanis
