Subject: We put together a reading list ...

Because Cuba is more than just the classic cars and white sand beaches...

Hola Friend,

Como estas?

We have been fabulous. After such long wait we are seeing that people are now looking to add some more exotic locations, like Cuba back on the travel list. I know for our Canadian Audience going there, has been a bit like Aussies going to Bali. Lucky you! I say 😀

For the Aussies it means tracking through the world to get there and it has not been easy of late. But we are getting more and more routes back each day! Iberia is set to increase flights, Latam added their route via Lima, Cubana is going from Argentina, Inter Caribbean Airways offering non-stop from Havana to the lush Providenciales Turks and Caicos, then travel onward to Nassau and other exotic Caribbean hotspots like Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, and Grenada to mention a few changes this year. Which is fabulous!

Internal flights within Cuba haven't yet been restored, but we have seen some who would like to stay longer venturing over to the east side. Which is very exciting to see.

Meanwhile there is now a push to make Cuba a cashless society. This comes with many issues to both locals and foreigners alike, so we will keep an eye on these changes. And on top of it all, the other day I found more modern cars in Havana than old timers. 😱 Times are changing! So I'd say if you wanted to see that old charm we love about Cuba, travelling sooner, rather than later should be on the cards.

Whilst we mention old charm and changes - we have put together a massive reading list to give an insight to Cuba from various angles. So big, I had to break it down to three parts! Here is number 1. I'd love to ask if you have read any great books and what your thoughts were? I have to say I can't pick a favourite!

As for the movies, we were having a debate on each of our likes with some lovely travel agents the other day. I have to say that Dirty Dancing 2 was an interesting surprise, even if I didn't like the ending. Whilst Yoanis mentioned - Fidel and our travel agent liked the doco by Joanna Lumley. What are your thoughts on them?

Enough of the fun stuff! I better go and organise our tours for October! Have 3 fabulous back to back tours! It is so great to have our guides busy like that again :-)

Have a fabulous week!
