Subject: Must Know Before Traveling To Cuba😍

Planning a trip? Here are some pointers to help you along...

Hola Friend,

Como estas? Hope you have been well. We had great fun creating some Cuban food of late, some making it into the Life Recipe Magazine this month! Very exciting. What is even more exciting is that the Cuban Sandwich has been a great hit with my fussy eater! He can't get enough.

You can see it on the picture above, the ingredients are simple. Some roasted pork - we do use kuamquot juice or sour orange for the marinade, with cumin, garlic, onion then slow roast it. Then add some ham, cheese, pickles.. YUMMM. With regard to the mustard - traditionally it is the American mustard that goes in it. But I have to say, we have been experimenting for a while... the favourite is with dijon mustard/mayo mix on the bottom of the bread and American mustard on the top of the bread. Anyhow, let me stop rambling about it and share the recipes instead! And of course like all good food, there's always some narrative that goes with sharing it 👉 read it here

The good thing is, should you come and immerse yourself into Cuba, we also have a couple of opportunities where you can learn how to make Cuban dishes yourself!

In our Soul Of Cuba Tour we have our Cuban Chef take you to the farm where he gets his goodies from. You can met the farmer, help with selection of the goods and come back to learn to make Cuban dishes yourself. And if cooking wasn't enough! This tour also has cocktail making and salsa dancing classes among other things! So you can return refreshed, revitalised with a whole lot of new recipes to try on friends and families.

Or you can learn from Fiona, at Casa los Mangoes on how to create some delicacies made of mangoes or one of the three banana varieties she has on their farm in Trinidad, whilst enjoying the sites on Cuba Vista. Her hubby's catch of the day also transforms nicely into a meal!

But if you just like to enjoy what others make, we still got you covered with some delicious options on our Simply Cuba Tour. Farm-to-plate meals, home cooked dinners and more await you. After all, food is a fun and interesting way to get to know a country!

We promise there are no creepy crawlies or weird things to try. All just genuine, wholesome, organic meals you can enjoy.

I'd love to know, do you enjoy trying the food when you travel?

Let us know!

Hasta Luego,

Orsolya
