Hola Friend,

Como estas? Hope you are well. I was so excited to get feedback from those who have been to Cuba before to say how safe it is. I am currently in a small town of Australia, and the first thing I was warned about is opportunity crime, making sure that doors are locked as some may enter to take whatever and they don't care if a person is inside 😨 Scary thought that is! Not one I had to entertain in Cuba I must say.

Anyhow, let's talk about what got me excited this week, that I wanted to share, it's a lot more fun 😃

We have a confirmed departure date of a Simply Cuba Tour with a slight variation! So I thought I'd share the details with you.

When does it start?              Friday, 12 August 2022

How long does it go for?     13 Days (so finishes on Wednesday, 24 August 2022)

How many people on tour? Max 8 pax, so we have 5 more spots available

Where does it start? Havana, Cuba

Where does it finish?         Havana, Cuba

What does your itinerary look like?

Day 1

Arrival in Havana

As people arrive at different time, you'll have a meeting with our guide at 6pm to enjoy the sunset

Day 2

Today we set out to Trinidad, about 5 hours south of Havana on the glittering Caribbean coastline. On the way through we will stop at Santa Clara. You cannot miss the Plaza de la Revolucion. The is the open space that is overlooked by a huge bronze statue of Che Guevara that sits atop the museum and the Che Guevara mausoleum.

Day 3

Start with a guided orientation tour. Visit the craft markets, art galleries and take a salsa lesson in the afternoon. The sights at Trinidad are just amazing, you can choose to climb the bell tower, or chill in a 'bath tub' with a cocktail, it brings a special atmosphere...

Day 4

Visit Ancon Beach in the morning for an easy start to the day and a dip in the ocean. In the afternoon we will deliver some educational drinks, through a rum tasting session.

Day 5

On our way to Cienfuegos, we will visit El Nicho water fall. This time of year is the perfect time to have a dip at this waterfall. In the afternoon we'll admire the architecture of Cienfuegos with sunset views of the bay from the top of Palacio del Valle.

Snorkelling at the fish cave and a visit to Playa Giron museum to learn about the botched invasion at Bay of Pigs.

Day 7

Las Terrazas and Soroa is on the cards. A couple of more places to showcase Cuba's natural beauty. Both are part of UNESCO Biosphere reserve since 1985. The birdlife, and lush green forests are truly magnificent. You'll enjoy dinner at a traditional paladar here.

Day 8

Before we keep heading west, we'll take s troll at Soroa's orchid garden. The collection of orchids here are just stunning. Then Vinales awaits. Will take it easy here with a stroll around town followed by free time.

Day 9

In the morning we’ll take a guided walk through this rich country side, to discover the life of Cuba’s farmers and learn the secret methods of rolling a Cuban cigar directly from those who grow it. In the evening we'll enjoy a farm-to-place dinner at the organic farm with stunning sunset views.

Day 10

A day of adventure to Cayo Jutias, where white sands and beautiful sea stars await at Cuba's most discovered undiscovered beach (you'll see why!)

Day 11

Will head back to Havana. Enjoy a classic car cruise around Havana, see it from different angles from a vintage American car.

Day 12

UNESCO sure do have great taste, they know a good thing when they see it. Today you’ll start the day with discovering Old Havana, a World Heritage site since 1982. See the glorious grandeur of this dynamic area, one of the Caribbean’s most impressive historical cities.
