Subject: Where Hope Takes Root: Belya’s Story

Dear Friend,

Last month, I shared the story of Belya in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who said:

“Before joining my Savings Group, I did not know how to manage money, I just knew I had none. I had to ask my husband for everything, and sometimes that made him angry. My house was not clean, and sometimes I did not go to church because of the lack of clothing and soap. But one day, I saw all the women join a savings group, so I joined too.”

That decision changed everything. Once struggling to provide for her family, Belya is now using her savings and growing business to build a brighter future. Her story of transformation—from vulnerability to flourishing—is echoed by many participants in Five Talents programs across regions where poverty and conflict threaten both spiritual and physical well-being. Watch Belya's inspiring story here.

This year has brought unique challenges. The closure of USAID ended Five Talents’ grant for a successful and thriving program in Kenya. Meanwhile, ongoing violence, climate extremes, soaring hyperinflation, and mass displacement have intensified the needs of the fragile communities where we currently work.

Because of this, your partnership is more important than ever to ensure these programs continue to transform lives. That’s why I ask you to prayerfully consider participating in our year-end campaign. Your gift today can make all the difference in the lives of women like Belya.

Thank you for providing the training, tools, and resources that empower people to save, invest, and develop small businesses. Your generosity nurtures dignity, hope, and agency in places where it is often most scarce.

May you know God’s richest blessings through this holy season and in the year to come.

With heartfelt gratitude,
