Subject: Sabine’s Story: A Testimony of Hope

Dear Friend,

This October, as we observe Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we’re reflecting on stories of healing and new hope made possible by God’s grace—and by your faithful support.

We’d like to introduce you to Sabine, a woman in Burundi whose life has been radically changed through her Savings Group, which helped her reclaim her dignity, discover her voice, and restore her marriage.

As Sabine learned to read and write in her Savings Group, she also gained knowledge about family life, hygiene, and God’s design for peace in the home. She started a small business, bought a cow, and began farming with natural fertilizer from her livestock. Today, her children are in school, her family eats three meals a day, and—most importantly—her home is now a place of love and mutual respect.

Our Program Director, Maria, first visited Sabine’s home in January 2021. At the time, Sabine had just one cow and a calf. Since then, she’s expanded her small farm, sold another cow, and purchased two pieces of land. Maria shared:

“Sabine was so proud of what she’s accomplished—her joy was exuding from her. It was deeply moving to see firsthand the transformation in her life.”

We are grateful for how God is using your support to bring restoration, peace, and purpose into the lives of women like Sabine. Thank you for being a vital part of this ministry.

With gratitude,

Five Talents
