Subject: My Eldest

Dear Friend,

My eldest daughter, Bethany, just started her senior year of high school. Admittedly, I was shamelessly sentimental as I took her “last-first-day-of-school” picture. Now she’s busy preparing her college applications. I’m trying my best to support her through this stressful (and sometimes exciting) process. Like every parent, I hope that she can have the opportunity to flourish and grow her God-given gifts.

Last week, we shared the difficult story of a girl in Uganda named Masiko, who is working tirelessly to ensure she can not only continue her education, but also save for the future. Masiko is determined to create opportunities for herself—and she is inspiring both young and old to do the same.

Because of your support, Masiko has been able to attend her mother’s Savings Group and has learned skills that are improving her life now while helping her save and pursue her future goals. Masiko is changing her story.

At Five Talents, we envision a world where all families can afford to educate their children and to have lives filled with the hope that God intends for them. However, we cannot do this work without your partnership.

Will you give a gift today to help more families find a path out of poverty toward hope?

Thank you for being a part of Masiko’s story—and so many others.

With heartfelt gratitude,
