Subject: Choosing Peace for Myself and My Family

Dear Friend,

Did you know that August is National Make-A-Will Month? It’s the perfect time to consider your estate plan and the legacy you will leave for the people and ministries you care about.

My name is Danielle, and I am a member of Five Talents’ Board of Directors. Maybe the benefits of having your will up-to-date seem a little abstract, but this year, I had an experience that made clear how essential legacy planning is for those we love.

My sister-in-law never turned 60. As a healthy, single woman in her 50s, a will didn’t seem like a priority. In the span of five weeks, however, Lisa fell ill, lost lucidity, and passed away. As family members, we were devastated by her death and blindsided when we immediately faced the unimaginable task of figuring out what to do with everything that belonged to Lisa.

No family should suffer the double blow of the loss of a loved one and then the endless uncertainty of wondering what their wishes would have been. Psalm 90:12 says, “Teach us to number our days so that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

I encourage you to take this opportunity to create or update your will and to consider a legacy gift to Five Talents. I have one in mine, and it brings me great peace to know that even when I am in heaven, my estate will be supporting our amazing cause and creating ripple effects of good around the world.

Thank you for being God’s provision to so many entrepreneurs working to save, invest, and launch themselves out of poverty.

Warmly,

Danielle Tate
