Subject: Change That Lasts

Dear Friend,

At Five Talents, we believe lasting transformation begins when people are equipped with the tools to move from dependency to empowerment, building a better future for themselves and their families. But what does that look like in each community?

It looks like Savings Groups established through local churches in rural, marginalized communities in some of the world’s most fragile contexts. These groups provide a safe place for members to save money, access small loans, learn financial and business skills, and encourage one another along the way.

For many participants, it's the first time they've had a secure place to save for school fees, medical expenses, or the next planting season. Others use loans from the group to start or expand a small business, creating new opportunities for their families.

Five Talents’ seven-step model, shown below, prioritizes local ownership and growth toward self-sufficiency. Members gain the training and tools to manage their own saving and loaning activities, meaning groups can continue operating successfully even after Five Talents’ direct involvement ends.

As members meet week after week, they build confidence, strengthen relationships, and discover new possibilities for themselves and their communities. Families become more resilient, children are more likely to stay in school, and communities begin solving challenges together.

By joining with us in this work, you are not simply providing temporary assistance. You are helping people build the skills, habits, and relationships that lead to lasting, transformational change.

Every Savings Group is a testament to what can happen when people are given the opportunity to use their God-given talents to flourish.

Thank you for partnering with us to bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to communities around the world.

With gratitude,

Five Talents
