Dear Friend,
Five Talents programs have contextualized approaches to helping Savings Group members thrive. Today, we’re highlighting our program in Rwanda, which incorporates agriculture and nutrition training to support vulnerable female-headed households affected by poverty to become economically empowered and able to provide better nutrition for their families. This program started in 2022 with 676 women and has now grown to 914 women.
Agricultural training for members in Rwandan Savings Groups includes learning climate-smart practices from an expert agronomist. As part of their training, members cultivate crops on a joint piece of land, learning new agricultural techniques and supporting each other as they work side by side.
Recently, a Savings Group program celebrated a bountiful harvest from their collective work cultivating potatoes and other crops. We praise God for their rich harvest and the combined effort of the group, which has provided them with crops to sell at the market as well as diversified produce to feed their families.
Thank you for helping these entrepreneurs grow their talents and provide for their families! |
