Subject:Ā šŸŽ„ [Webinar Recording]: Autoresponders vs. Marketing Automation

Hey hey,

Thanks again for signing up for our latest webinar:Ā Autoresponders vs. Marketing Automation.

Ā

Weā€™re here to let you know that the webinar recording is now available for you to enjoy.

Below, we've also gathered answers to some of the most pressing questions we've received during the webinar.

But before you dive in, could you spare a minute and let us know what you thought of this session? We're already planning our next webinars, and it would really help us if you shared your opinion! šŸ™

Q: Is there training on Advanced automatic within GetResponse? / Do you have a systematic step-by-step training program? / Is there a series of training videos available?

There is a Certification Course that might pick your interest. On top of that, we have a separate Help Center category reserved for Automation. We also recommend browsing through Automation-related content in our Resources and Blog.

Q: Can a user remove themselves from automation?

Yes, if someone unsubscribes from a list, they will no longer be processed by your Automation flow. You can also add a "remove from workflow" action element to your journey if you want to create more ways for your contacts to move between workflows.

Q: Can a user re-enroll in a workflow?

Re-enrolment to the workflow is possible ā€“ you need to make sure you have another entry point (condition) to your workflow or that your original entry point (condition) has the ā€œrun multiple timesā€ toggle enabled.

Q: Are workflows action based?

Yes, each workflow has to start with a condition element. Conditions are triggered by actions that we track. If that action occurs, the condition will be triggered. An action could be almost anything, e.g., someone clicking on a link or having their birthday come up.

Q: I have several courses to register for. I manage separate lists for each course. Is there a way to use automation, tags, and these features to manage these courses from one list?

Itā€™s certainly possible! We do it ourselves in GetResponse for internal training courses. There are two variants you can consider - independent courses and consecutive ones.

If your courses are independent of one another, then I would suggest asking people in your subscription form which course they are interested in. You can save that information in a custom field. Then create a segment based on the value of your custom field. Your next step would be to create multiple similar automation workflows with the same beginning:

1. (condition) IF SUBSCRIBED - if you subscribe to the course list

2. (filter) DYNAMIC SEGMENT - check for the value X of your custom field

3. (action) SEND MESSAGE - start sending out your course

For consecutive courses, I recommend workflows like the onboarding one we described in a dedicated blog post.

Q: How can I ensure my emails donā€™t end up in recipientsā€™ spam folders?

Spam placement depends on many factors (some of them are beyond our control), but we did accumulate useful tips you can use. Read more about them in our blog.

Q: I subscribed to Email Marketing which has limited automation. Do you have any links that speak to the Email Marketing automation capabilities?

Sure, check out our article about the templates available in your plan. It has hyperlinks to particular templates and how to use them.

Q: Can we also see who actually received our emails?

A: We can see detailed statistics of your Automation messages under Tools > Reports > Automation messages.
