A BIG OPELSKE THANK YOU

Here's a big THANK YOU to all the Opelske volunteers who have been wrangling the leaves, nuts, and falling branches these past few weeks -- and to the ones who have volunteered to keep the grounds safe and looking good as we finish this leaf season! Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

BUSY WEEK

with

TIME CHANGE SUNDAY 11/2

MONDAY - 10/27

MEDITATION GROUP (5-6 PM)

The meditation leader and style changes each week. Following a quiet arrival there will be brief introductions. Following the meditation, there will be a brief discussion about the meditation and a 5-minute silent closing meditation. This group is suitable for all experience levels, and everyone is welcome!

TUESDAY - 10/28

WRITERS GROUP (5-6:30 PM)

The Wayfarers Writers Group is the perfect environment to be inspired and hone your writing skills. All genres, all experience levels welcome.

THURSDAY - 10/30

BOARD MEETING (3-5 PM)

The Wayfarers Board of Directors will meet Thursday, October 30th at 3 PM to review Charitable donations, Speakers, and 2026 Budget. The meeting will be held at 400 Northridge Dr, Tiger, GA.

If you would like to comment on speakers and/or musicians, or have a charity you would like the chapel to support, NOW is the time. Contact a board member by Tuesday 10/29.

SATURDAY NIGHT - 11/1

TIME CHANGE

OK, time doesn't OFFICIALLY change until the wee hours of the morning, but most of us are already sound asleep, so ...

IF you use an alarm clock, be sure to set your clock BACK one hour before you go to bed!!

IF you use an android or iphone to wake, you are probably ok (though you might want to check your settings!)

SUNDAY - 11/2

SERVICE (10 AM)

This Sunday, Brenda Smith and Margie Swint team up once again, blending storytelling and music. In "That One Person," Brenda reminisces about "Ma Skinner" - that "one person" who made a difference in her life - as Margie echos the story in song.

While you are there, please note, the newest Daily Word is now available on the shelves by the front door.

ANNUAL MEETING - (Immediately Following Service)

Board Chair Jennifer Utley will briefly review 2025 activities and finances and introduce the 2026 Board for affirmation.

POTLUCK - (Immediately Following Annual Meeting)

Bring your favorite shareable dish and a notecard listing basic ingredients to help folks make healthy choices.

DRUM CIRCLE (6-8 PM)

Whether you like to beat a drum, shake a rattle, or just tap your toes, this is an evening of all-out fun. If you have a drum, bring it. If not, we have plenty of drums and other percussion instruments available for your use. See you Sunday!

LAST SUNDAY

This past Sunday we sang along with Joyce Oliver and contemplated Kim May's message "Feel First, Take Action Second."

Kim's message is available online along with Marie Dunkle's message from last week, "Oh the Lies We Tell Ourselves.
