THIS WEEK

SERVICE (Sunday, November 30 at 10 AM)

This Sunday, following the music of Sweet Charity, Marie Dunkle will facilitate our discussion of Schadenfreude - pleasure or joy derived from someone else's misfortune or suffering. Refreshments and visiting with other Wayfarers immediately after service.

MEDITATION GROUP (Mondays at 5 PM)

The meditation group meets in RoseMary's Chapel and is appropriate for all experience levels. The focus and style of meditation change each week.

WRITERS GROUP

No meeting this week as writers prepare for The Reading Room (see below) on Dec. 12th.

COMING UP

POTLUCK - Sunday, Dec 7

The first Sunday of the month means good food and fellowship with friends immediately following service. Yummm!

DRUM CIRCLE - 6-8 PM, Sunday, Dec. 7

Ready for some fun? Participating in a drum circle is an amazing way to center, settle, and energize - all at once! This circle is perfect whether you are new to drumming or have years of experience. Bring your favorite drum, if you have one, but no drum is necessary - we have plenty of drums and percussion instruments to share.

THE READING ROOM - 6:30-8:30 Friday, Dec. 12

On Friday, December 12, The Reading Room returns as members of the Wayfarers Writers Group share selected works from 6:30-8:30 PM in the main chapel. There will be an intermission with music and refreshment.

LAST SUNDAY

Last Sunday featured the music of Ruth Henry and the message, "The Gifts of Chaos," by Joyce Oliver. Joyce's message will be online soon.

SPECIAL HOLIDAY EVENT

Wayfarers Musicians Sharing Music with Community

Our Wayfarers musicians share so much of their beautiful music each Sunday morning, and we've come to welcome this gift at each service.

Did you know that often, their music is also shared with the broader community in Georgia and North Carolina? On December 5 at 6 pm, many of our regular musicians will gather to perform a Celtic Christmas show for the public at the Otto Community Center, 65 Firehouse Rd, Otto, NC (just 10 minutes from the Chapel). You may wish to consider attending to support and encourage our talented and generous Wayfarers musicians and enjoy a wonderful evening of music, word, and dance. Info at go2ottonc.com.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
