ANOTHER BIG WEEK

SUNDAY SERVICE (10 AM - May 3rd)

Charlie Simmons will be providing our music this week, and Marie Dunkle will deliver her message "Lessons in Friendship from my Buddhist and Celtic Friends".

The first Sunday of every month is Pot Luck. Whether you bring a dish or not, please stay afterwards to visit and have something to eat. There is always plenty to go around.

MEDITATION NEWS (9 AM - May 3rd)

Our volunteer meditation team is starting a new schedule for our weekly group meditation to encourage more community participation.  Starting this Sunday, group meditation will be offered in Rosemary's Chapel from 9:00-9:30 am each week.  A different facilitator will lead each time.  Please quietly enter the small chapel, and join us this Sunday!

THIS WEEK

WRITERS GROUP (5:30 PM, Tuesday, April 28th 1st)

The Writers Group is a gathering of people of all writing types, styles and abilities who meet each week to share their craft and give feedback to each other. Everyone with an interest is encouraged to attend whether you've never written before or have years of experience.

DRUM CIRCLE (6-8 PM, Friday, May 1st)

Our next drum circle is May 1st on the full moon. With good weather we are on the deck ... if it rains, we simply move the fun inside! Bring your drum, percussion, or vibration instrument and jump right in. No drum, no problem, we have plenty of options to share.

WORLD LABRYNTH DAY (1 PM Saturday, May 2nd)

Each year on the first Saturday in May, thousands of people around the world participate in World Labyrinth Day—a moving meditation for peace and a celebration of the labyrinth experience.

This Saturday, May 2, you are invited to walk the Wayfarers Chapel labyrinth. While there will not be a formal gathering, the World Labyrinth community encourages individuals to walk at 1:00 p.m. local time, creating a “rolling wave” of peaceful intention across the globe.

As always, the Wayfarers labyrinth is open to all. You are warmly invited to take part in this worldwide moment of reflection and peace.

COMING SOON

BLUE JAZZ TRIO CONCERT (2 - 4 PM Sunday, May 24th)

The Trio will perform Sunday, May 24, from 2-4 pm in the dappled shade of the Wayfarers' deck overlooking the beautiful Estatoah Creek. In the event of rain, the show will move inside. Admission is free but donations are sincerely appreciated.

LAST WEEK

Last Sunday we were treated to the music of Bill Peterson and Dee Daley's message "Hope". Her talk will be available at the Wayfarers Chapel Website under the link Sunday Talks soon.

BUTTERFLY RELEASE

We had a beautiful, warm, sunny day for our butterfly release. After the service, John taught us about the Painted Lady Butterfly and we had the opportunity to release 60 of them from their envelopes. It was amazing to see how each one reacted differently to it's awakening after being warmed in our hands.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

“Just living is not enough," said the butterfly, "one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.”

 — Hans Christian Andersen
