Hey Friend, About that JTM-45 and Mesa Mark...turns out they get along great!
Those are two amp voices that have almost nothing in common. The JTM-45™ is that early British sound - clean-ish, precise, with just enough grit to make it feel alive. Controlled. Articulate. The kind of tone that sits perfectly in a mix without fighting for space.
The Mesa Mark™ series is a completely different animal. Higher gain, but musical about it. There's a warmth and roundness to the low end that makes it sing rather than just shred. It's the reason that amp has been on stages from Santana to Petrucci - completely different players, same amp, because it's got that quality that works for almost everything.
I've always wanted both on the same board, working together instead of fighting each other. And I've built a lot of Plexi-voiced pedals over the years, so getting the JTM character right - without it just sounding like everything else I've done - took some real work.
I think we nailed it!
It's called the Golden Jubilee. Check it out here: https://www.wamplerpedals.com/products/distortion-overdrive/golden-jubilee/
