We just learned that President Trump’s administration is withholding critically needed funds for states to help fund their summer and afterschool programs. These funds were supposed to be dispersed July 1 and as of now, are being held up. In FY24, Virginia received $23.3 million in 21st Century Community Learning Center funds, which supported 152 communities and about 23,000 students.

These programs cannot continue to function without this funding. We need Governor Youngkin to urge the administration to release this funds. Please contact Governor Youngkin today and ask him to help ensure this funding- which is a lifeline to working families- is dispersed to Virginia as soon as possible.
