In today's tech-driven world, youth are constantly consuming media, but what if we equipped them to become the creators? This session explores how out-of-school time programs can use podcasting and content creation to build digital literacy, amplify youth voice, and foster essential 21st-century skills.

Presented by Jenice Lee of School After Hours Consulting

What happens when strong partnerships become the launchpad for STEM innovation in out-of-school time (OST)? In this session, you'll explore how the Virginia Space Flight Academy (VASFA) has built impactful collaborations with schools and community-based programs to deliver hands-on, engaging STEM learning experiences for youth, particularly in rural and underserved communities. Presented by Kenji Nomura & Dana Wright of the Virginia Space Flight Academy

This hands-on workshop empowers afterschool educators to integrate the Engineering Design Process (EDP) which provides a structured, iterative framework that helps youth tackle real-world challenges, develop resilience, and learn from failure. By the end of this workshop, participants will feel confident in creating environments where youth take the lead, approach challenges with curiosity, and apply their ideas meaningfully in their communities.
