In the 9th video of the series, we explore how computer models can simulate how a tumour will respond to chemotherapy to help doctors refine their chemotherapy schemes for fragile patients.

The European Strategy for Artificial intelligence (AI) in Science will accelerate the responsible use of AI.
The Commission has launched a consultation on the Action Plan for the cybersecurity of hospitals and healthcare providers. The deadline for contributions is 30 June 2025.
On 9 April 2025, the Association of Notified Bodies adopted the updated 3rd version of the notified bodies BPG harmonized approach to clarify information to be submitted by the manufacturer in their technical documentation.
On 14 April 2025, an updated paper from Team-NB has been published, providing an overview of their perspective on the challenges of the AI Act with particular attention to its implementation.
Marking five years since the emergence of COVID-19, we revisit the early days of the pandemic to explore how in silico models helped detect outbreaks, understand airborne transmission, and guide public health decisions, shedding light on the digital tools that shaped our response.


On Monday 28 April 2025, VPHi welcomed dr. Borys Brzezinski in the setting of the University Hospital Leuven to talk about how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be applied in healthcare to give Europe a competitive edge.

Tina Morrison, a mechanical engineer by training, is a global leader in regulatory science for in silico medicine. She spent over 15 years at the FDA championing the use of computer simulations in the design and evaluation of medical devices.
