Have you ever participated in ViPS Reading Day? It's a really fun event we think you'd enjoy!
Reading Day is hosted annually by Volunteers in Public Schools. Each November hundreds of volunteers go into Little Rock School District elementary schools and share a book with a class. Visiting readers talk to students about the importance of reading and encourage the children to become avid readers, like them! The students love it and so do the volunteers.
The goal is to have a reader for each of the district's elementary classrooms on the morning of November 14. That's 625 classes! We could really use your help. For an activity that typically takes less than one hour, you could make a great impact! We hope to see you on November 14!
