Subject: A Parade to Remember

April has annually been a month of celebration as we focus our spotlight on Little Rock School District volunteers and partners during National Volunteer Month. Our traditional, in-person events have been challenged since COVID, but this year ViPS had the opportunity to revive a classic: 'ViPS' Parade of Stars'. (That's a 1980's flashback for ViPS associates and friends!)

Although community volunteers and parents had limited or no access to classrooms this year, they pivoted their approach, seldom hindered in supporting our students and teachers.

From weekly water donations, to virtual tutoring sessions, to ZOOM PTA meetings...the list goes on and on, and so does their impact. Something worth celebrating, for sure!

So award nominees were asked to rev-up their engines and drive through for a safe and socially distant celebration. Though the smiles were masked by masks, no doubt the 2021 Parade of Stars was a success! Many thanks to ALL LRSD volunteers for all you do.
