1. Engage in regular physical activity Simple activities like going for a walk, swimming, cycling and playing badminton are excellent options. Your body releases endorphins when you exercise, leaving you with waves of positive feelings! So incorporating regular physical activity into your weekly schedule is an ideal and natural way for you to reduce stress.
2. Do something you enjoy If you don’t enjoy physical activities, at least set aside time to do something that you enjoy. Not only do you need it—you deserve it! Whether it is listening to music, going out with family, spending time in nature, or meeting up with friends, remember to make time to enjoy life with some fun and relaxation.
3. Maintain a healthy lifestyle Healthy living includes sustaining a balanced diet and having adequate rest. Well-nourished, hydrated and rested bodies are better equipped to handle stress. When your body's systems are kept in optimal conditions, you will be able to keep your energy up and have a clear mind, especially when it counts.
4. Meditate Meditation works wonders. “Research suggests that daily meditation may alter the brain’s neural pathways, making you more resilient to stress,” says Dr. Robbie Maller Hartman, a Chicago health and wellness coach and psychologist. A few minutes a day can help to significantly reduce anxiety and feelings of stress!
5. Supplement your diet Does your body start to react with dandruff, hair fall, or increased heart rate and blood pressure when you are stressed?
