This Month's Power Practice Routines

Your 7-minute summer-friendly routines are live inside the Violin Bootcamp App! Each one is designed to help you make real progress with minimal time, and keep your technique sharp while enjoying the season.


Instructions:

Stick with each 7-minute Power Routine for 7 consecutive days before moving on to the next routine. 


Just like HIIT in fitness, the magic happens through repetition and focus. By working on the same micro-routine daily, you give your brain and muscles time to absorb the technique and build consistency—without overwhelm.

Beginner Power Routines

Welcome to your first Monthly Practice Guide!


This month, you’ll begin your violin journey with the 7 Finger Patterns for Beginners course. These short 7-minute Power Routines are designed to help you develop muscle memory, learn your fingerboard, and feel confident with the basics — without overwhelm.

Each week, you’ll focus on just one module. Watch the video, play along, and come back to it daily or a few times during the week. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you improve! If you need longer than a week, that is ok too!

Intermediate Power Routines

This month, you’ll begin with my full 6-Week Violin Bootcamp Challenge â€” designed to help you rediscover your passion, upgrade your technique, and fall in love with daily practice again. Each routine takes just 7 minutes a day, making progress feel fun and sustainable. Just follow the challenge weekly until you finish.

Advanced Power Routines

If you’re an advanced player looking to re-engage with your practice, I highly recommend starting with the Level Up: 6-Week Challenge (simply click the title to access). This program is designed to help you quickly rebuild your technique—refining your sound, bow control, shifting, and vibrato, among other essentials. It’s my core program, and I encourage everyone at the intermediate to advanced level to begin there—even if it feels a bit simple at first.

The first week is intentionally easy. It’s meant to help you reset and focus purely on producing the best sound you can. But don’t worry—it ramps up quickly, guiding you through shifting, double stops, and more advanced techniques in no time.

If you find it’s still too easy, this month is a perfect time to start the Fine Tune: Left Hand Power 6-Week Challenge. This course builds on Level Up and helps you clean up your legato, shifting, and vibrato while developing freedom and ease in your left hand.

The best strategy? Follow the lessons daily (or at your own pace), and stick to one 7-minute Power Routine per day for 7 days before moving on to the next. You can also mix and match a few routines to build a longer session if you have more time—or stick with one if your schedule is tight.

✹ Quick Tip: Try scheduling your Power Routine right after your morning coffee or before your evening wind-down. That way, it becomes a daily ritual—not another “to-do.”
