Our animals live in the moment naturally. They don’t carry yesterday or worry about tomorrow. When we slow down enough to meet them there, something beautiful happens – their nervous system softens, and so does ours.
When Your Energy Softens, Your Animal Feels It
Our animals are incredibly sensitive to the energy we carry. When we slow our breath, soften our body, and allow ourselves to truly arrive in the moment, they often respond in kind—resting more deeply, settling more peacefully, and drawing closer to us.
March carries the early stirrings of new life. The light lingers longer, the earth begins to awaken, and energy starts to move again after winter’s quiet pause. Yet within that movement, there is still an invitation to move gently and stay grounded.
This week’s exercise is about sharing a small moment of calm presence with your animal—not by doing more, but by simply being together.
Sometimes the most powerful healing we offer our animals is the energy we bring into the room.
