[Wow!] Study shows CBD blocks COVID

January 19th, 2022 at 10:07 am EDT

Hello Friend,

Welcome to Wednesday. I am hoping that you and your significant others, (pets and people) are doing well, and free from disease..especially COVID

A bunch of studies are now showing clear benefits of Cannabidiol helping people prevent, and then if infected have a stronger immune response to the virus COVID-19

People are reporting that they get less sick with COVID, they have milder symptoms, and they recover faster if infected..

So not only can it help your dogs/cats with inflammation and pain, it may also be an antiviral.

You may want to consider trying it for your dogs/cats.

I do have a Natural, Whole Plant Extract CBD tincture for Dogs and Cats

It's here:

Angus pictured below is on CBD... I also dose Tula with CBD for her anxiety, and then give it to Murray when I try to trim his nails :-)

Cannabidiol Inhibits SARS-CoV-2 Replication and Promotes the Host Innate Immune Response

Abstract

The rapid spread of COVID-19 underscores the need for new treatments.

Here we report that cannabidiol (CBD), a compound produced by the cannabis plant, inhibits SARS-CoV-2 infection.

CBD and its metabolite, 7-OH-CBD, but not congeneric cannabinoids, potently block SARS-CoV-2 replication in lung epithelial cells. CBD acts after cellular infection, inhibiting viral gene expression and reversing many effects of SARS-CoV-2 on host gene transcription. CBD induces interferon expression and up-regulates its antiviral signaling pathway.

A cohort of human patients previously taking CBD had significantly lower SARSCoV-2 infection incidence of up to an order of magnitude relative to matched pairs or the general population.

This study highlights CBD, and its active metabolite, 7-OH-CBD, as potential preventative agents and therapeutic treatments for SARS-CoV-2 at early stages of infection.

Best Wishes,

Dr Andrew

P.S. CBD has primarily been studied as the beneficial, non-psychoactive ingredient in the Cannabis plant- to see it can help prevent and treat a serious viral respiratory infection is great news

Personally I will be starting on daily CBD for myself, as well as topping up Tula and Murray :-)

P.P.S. My last dog Lewis ( in the picture), unfortunately died of a very aggressive form of mouth cancer. He was not responding to conventional pain meds, but responded very well to CBD and THC.

If you have an arthritic pet, or a dog with cognitive dysfunction, I encourage you to try my CBD for dogs and cats.

It is a whole plant extract meaning it has all the potentially helping cannabinoids that interact with each other to be beneficial, as well as using hemp seed oil as the carrier oil (often this can make it more effective)
