Scottish Sore Throat Remedy....
----------------------------------

My family and I are currently in rather rainy Scotland...we are visiting some of my Mom's family and friends- she is originally from Scotland.

They LOVE their animals- cats, dogs and SHEEP everywhere...and when I mention the word veterinarian, they love to talk about their pets ( and of course their problems..)

They are some strange customs...such as eating HAGISS...a strange form of food that one time involved a sheep's stomach.

Well we had it last night, and 'surprise'...my children NOT only ate it, they said they liked it...

Today we are off to visit the Edinburgh Castle, and try to stay dry.

A few of the family had sore throats, so one relative offered up the Scottish Sore Throat Recipe..

Here it is:

Water
1-2 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
Shot of Scotch Whiskey
1 Tablespoon  Honey

What I would suggest is leave out the Scottish Whiskey for your dog or cat- but if you can't sleep, then perhaps take a 'wee' shot yourself :-)
