Hello Friend,

A BIG Hi to you, your family, your dogs, cats, and other creatures in your house.

Have you ever lost your dog or cat?

It is MOST upsetting, and the whole worry of wondering where they are takes over everything.

My dog Lewis wandered away a few weeks ago, and my morning was wrecked..

Fortunately he showed up 3 hours later, with a smelly bone in his mouth, and a nasty bout of diarrhea later..

A little over a year ago a cat that I adopted from the Animal Shelter ( Trent) went outside one day and NEVER returned. I can only assume that he was taken by a coyote/cougar ( we live on the woods)

It took me, and my family a long time to get over it...still today when I see a cat with orange fur I always look to see..

The FOUND Dog
-------------------------------

Yesterday as I was calling in my pack of dogs ( Lewis, Jessie, and Lewis' friend, a yellow Lab called Pearl), another little dog came in at the same time.

His name is Finnegan, and he is a little Cairn Terrier...

He was super friendly, happy to be carried around in my daughters arms, and eager to be fed dog treats.

Finnegan had an ID tag, with his name and phone number..

I phoned......no answer.

Then I recognized him from our OLD house, neighborhood, and visits to the Vet.

Mr Finnegan had taken off, and was over 1 KM away uphill..

SO with all my families encouragement we drove MR Finnegan back to his house. His 'parents' were away, but a teenage daughter was in charge- she had NO idea where he had gone.

She was VERY happy to get him back.

All in All a great reunion.

A few points.

1. Get GOOD ID for your dogs and cats.

Name
Phone Number
Address

2. TRY and prevent this from happening in the first place- my dog Lewis invariably gets into compost, making himself ILL

P.S. Going to your Vets house, is a good place to run away to :-)

Especially when it includes small children who LOVE small dogs.

I see one in my future..

P.P.S. Little Finnegan has serious noise phobia, and regularly takes off during Thunderstorms. One of the newer remedies for this is Reiki and Flower Essences. You can get the Reiki and Flower Essence videos by going here:
