THANKS to all of those who left comments on my Blog, or responded to yesterday's newsletter.

For those who didn't read it, it was about a Veterinarian in BC who was suspended, but on appeal was able to get his licence back.

The CBC didn't fully report all of the reasons why, but part of this was the Council NOT taking into account the fact that Dr Bhullar faced
" institutional bias" from the Council...

Regardless, he is now a practicing Veterinarian again, and I am not...

I'll keep you all updated on my own status.

A ' New ' Remedy

Yesterday my Dog Lewis spent a short time alone in the house, and found his FAVORITE thing...

Garbage

Yummy old chicken bones and who knows what else..

All down the hatch

When I came in, he greeted me at the dog with a
plastic bag containing garbage around his nose.

No question of guilt there..

Later he was groaning a bit, and feeling somewhat queasy.

So I tried a 'New' remedy...Baking Soda

I mixed a teaspoon of baking soda in a cup of water, and poured that down his throat

He almost instantly felt better.

This is working on the principle of neutralizing the excess stomach acid that causes things like Heartburn in people ( and pets)

It also has a number of other uses:

Hives
Insect Bites
Sore throats
Gingivitis- use a mouth rinse

For those of you suffering from bad breath, you can combine 1 tbspn of baking soda with 1 cup of 3% peroxide and use it as a mouth wash..
