What to expect from Panoramic Radiographs in Dentistry

September 21st, 9:00 am to noon
Presented in three parts, this course is not only a perfect primer for Dentists, Dental Hygienists, and Dental Assistants who would like more experience with panoramic Radiographs, but also a perfect review for those would like to improve their knowledge and skills.

The first hour of the course, open to everyone, reviews the basic principles of panoramic radiography and the clinical technique and patient positioning for panoramic image acquisition (1 CDE).

Component 2, worth 2 CDE credits, is open to Dentists and Dental Hygienists and systemically reviews and retrains the brain to see and interpret the entire panoramic radiographic image, focusing on image quality, normal anatomical variation, and pathological changes. Submit your own images for group review!

Component 3 is particularly beneficial to Dental Hygienists and Dental Assistants, providing hands-on opportunities to practice proper placement of the patient to optimize panoramic image acquisition.
