CANCER DAY FOR PRIMARY CARE: IMMUNO-ONCOLOGY
iRAes are coming! Be ready for Immune-related Adverse Events

Immune checkpoint inhibitors are a class of drugs that are revolutionizing the treatment and prognosis of cancer - but they can also be responsible for auto-immune complications that can emerge even months after treatment has concluded.

Often subtle and undifferentiated, and sometimes fatal, irAEs (pneumonitis, adrenal insufficiency, Stevens Johnson syndrome, hypothyroidism, diabetes, and more) need to be diagnosed and treated in a timely fashion.

IF YOU ARE A FAMILY PHYSICIAN, A NURSE PRACTITIONER IN PRIMARY CARE, OR AN ER PHYSICIAN, YOU WILL BE SEEING THESE PATIENTS.
