Allen Frances, MD, is a clinician, educator, researcher, and leading authority on psychiatric diagnosis. He chaired the DSM-IV Task Force. The author of hundreds of papers and more than a dozen books, including Essentials of Psychiatric Diagnosis, Saving Normal: An Insider’s Revolt against Out-of-Control Psychiatric Diagnosis, DSM-5, Big Pharma, and the Medicalization of Ordinary Life, and The Twilight of American Sanity: A Psychiatrist Analyzes the Age of Trump. Dr. Frances is Professor Emeritus and former Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University. He blogs frequently on the Huffington Post and Psychology Today.

Cait O’Sullivan, PharmD, is a clinician and educator with a clinical background in acute general medicine, residential care, and community practice. Based in the Comox valley of Vancouver Island, she is part of a team of educators forming the BC Provincial Academic Detailing Service. She is an active member of the Drug Assessment and Education working groups of the Therapeutics Initiative.
