Presented in cooperation with the Community Oncology Program at CancerCare Manitoba, and the University of Manitoba, Cancer Day for Primary Care is a biennial full day education symposium dedicated to topics at the interface of primary care and oncology. This year, topics will focus on Immunotherapy and will include lectures and panel presentations to provide attendees with practical and relevant information about curative-intent and palliative therapy for breast and gastrointestinal cancers, workup and support services for pediatric cancer patients.
Can't make it the day of? Cancer Day is being recorded and will be available for participants who register before 10 am on May 27, 2022.

Presented by Dr. Marina Reinecke, the 2021 CPD Medicine University of Manitoba Educator of the Year, this two-day intensive workshop will arm you with new knowledge and skills around opioid addiction and the resources available to support this vulnerable patient population. This workshop is a prerequisite training requirement in order to prescribe or dispense methadone and buprenorphine/naloxone in Manitoba.

Manitoba Public Insurance receives many inquiries from medical professionals regarding the assessment of patients/clients specifically in fitness to drive. This 2-hour learning module discusses practitioner responsibilities, communication strategies and rules related to operating vehicles with a variety of medical presentations. This learning module will be of interest to family physicians, specialist physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and psychologists.
Current Manitoba legislation, practitioner responsibilities, resources for driver assessment and best practices are addressed. Topics such as dementia, cardiac disease, seizures, recreational drugs, and mental health are included, and common cases are presented with links to references for further self directed learning
