Managing Ingrown Toenails

Skills Sessions — October 10, 2025

This skills session is a great opportunity for healthcare providers to build confidence in managing a common but often tricky condition: the ingrown toenail. You will learn how to recognize the three stages of an ingrown toenail, understand what can happen if it is left untreated, and explain non-surgical treatment options to patients in a clear and helpful way. The session will also cover when surgical treatment is needed, walk you through different techniques, and highlight the pros and cons of each approach. Whether you want to sharpen your clinical skills or improve patient communication, this session offers practical knowledge you can use right away.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

October 6, 2025

PROGRAM DELIVERY


COMPONENT 1 | Pre-course Preparation

Self-directed study is required. Textbooks are included in the exam fee. This is followed by an online (independent) exam to be completed prior to the didactical portion. Exams not taken within this time frame will become invalid and the learner will be required to purchase another exam and restart the process.

 

COMPONENT 2 | On-site
This is an advanced course!  The workshop consists of integrated skills station and team-based scenarios. Upon successful completion, a Completion Card will be presented from the CPS. This card does not imply clinical competence in this area, but indicates participation and completion of the course.

ACoRN

October 27, 2025

The Acute Care of at-Risk Newborns Program (ACoRN) is a Canadian Program designed to teach neonatal stabilization, support the multidisciplinary team, and identify and care for babies who become unwell or are at risk of becoming unwell in the first few hours or days after birth and, where necessary, preparation for transport to a referral facility

ACoRN introduces knowledge and skills sequentially, using a case-based approach.  It is designed to be useful regardless of a condition’s complexity or how frequently a practitioner is called upon to manage specific conditions.

Note: Participants must complete the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) course before taking ACoRN

ATLS is a vital educational program created by the American College of Surgeons, designed to equip medical professionals with essential skills for managing trauma patients. Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Our PALS Provider course will help you to develop individual skills – as a member of a healthcare team – in simulated real-life situations that mirror your work life in which you’ll need to recognize and respond to cardiopulmonary arrests or other cardiovascular emergencies involving pediatric patients.
