Course Overview Panoramic radiography is a commonly used imaging modality in dental practice and can be a valuable diagnostic tool for practitioners. However, the panoramic image is a complex projection of the jaws with multiple superimpositions and distortions, presenting challenges in both image acquisition and interpretation.
Participants will gain an understanding of the normal anatomy of the head and neck and how it is depicted in this image type, followed by a systematic approach to examining panoramic radiographs so that critical findings are not overlooked, regardless of complexities in anatomy, artefacts and disease.
