This Sunday @ UCC: Yes, Way! - Leddy Hammock
|
|
Even when there seems to be no outer way, there is an inner way.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall conceive and receive divine ideas.
I am reflecting upon the message that Love brought: I am the beloved of God, born of a pure thought.
Shelter me, Holy Spirit, whisper to me from above.
So, forever my heart will hear it: nothing’s impossible for Love. |

| | | | | | By fastening a safety pin to their clothing, people are declaring themselves friendly and open minded to individuals who have felt marginalized, to show that they stand in empathy with anyone who might be feeling afraid.
Angry talk and actions have inspired a positive response: wearing a safety pin. It’s a tiny gesture, but it speaks volumes, assuring people they are not alone. The movement seems to be catching on. Americans are posting photos of themselves on social media, declaring themselves “safe places” and showing support for women, people of color, and other marginalized groups. That's the kind of thing that many Unity people tend to like to do.

| | Sharing the Christmas Spirit
|
| We're joining with our Unitarian Universalist neighbors to collect clean, new or gently used blankets for migrant workers in Plant City.
Blanket donations must be received by Dec 11th and may be brought to the bookstore counter
|
| | Our Yearly Teddy Bear Drive is off to a great start!
Each year through the generosity of our UCC family, we collect around 400-500 new teddy bears and other stuffed animals.
The donations are tagged "We bear you love from Unity" and are then given to grateful recipients at Hospice, Metropolitan Ministries, nursing facilities, etc.
Small to medium size bears are requested and they should be new and individually bagged (ziplock)

| | | ANCIENT SUCCESS SECRET
“The ancients knew [a] success secret we should know: The description of good doubles good! May Rowland in her book Dare to Believe! has described how you can double the good in your life:
‘If you are not attracting the good that you desire in your life, learn to express love; become a radiating center of love; and you will find that love, the divine magnet within you, will change your whole world . . . . When your heart is filled with love you will not be critical or irritable, but you will be divinely irresistible.’”
(Catherine Ponder in The Prospering Power of Love [Unity School of Christianity, 1966]
Your Weekly Prosperity Affirmation: YOU ARE A MAGNET FOR GOOD – DIVINELY IRRESISTIBLE! THANK YOU, GOD!
