This Sunday @ UCC: Lesson Title: Swing Wide the Doors
|
|
Inspired by lyrics by Denise Rosier from “Hallelujah Today!”
The road is long but I will make it. That's who I am.
It’s not the race but how I’m running -- not who I was, but who I’m becoming.
Steady on! I'll finish strong on this path.
With every breath in me, I call out, “Hallelujah today!”
With every mile I’m reminded, I never go empty-handed.
God is my strength. I'm never stranded. I’m not alone.
Together, we are calling out about the good and peace and joy resounding around the world.
In every song I sing, in every part of me, in everything, Hallelujah today! |

Chapel Open for Meditation Noon - 2:00 PM
Guided Meditation 2:00 - 3:00 PM
For
more than three decades here, we have set aside a time of contemplation
on Good Friday between noon and 3:00 PM - the hours when, according to
the Gospels, Jesus spoke seven times from the cross in preparation for
His great demonstration over death.
At 2:00 PM, seven votives
shall have been lit, which will be extinguished, in turn, as we
contemplate the profound spiritual meaning of each of the Master's seven
last statements from the Cross.
Come, let us honor the Silence as we share in this powerful and transformative spiritual preparation for Easter. |
| | | Sun, Apr 1 9:30 & 11:00 AM Sanctuary
Our Music Ministry shares awesome music during both services in our Sanctuary!
On
Easter Sunday, "Happy Hour" including Nursery care for infants and
toddlers, crafts for elementary school aged children is held during the
early service (9:30 - 10:30 am). Then, a Continental Breakfast is
served on a love offering basis in our Café between 8:45 AM and 9:15 AM
and between 10:30 and 11:00 AM.
During the second service a
positive lesson time will be presented for children of all ages in our
Youth Wing, starting with Assembly in the Peace Chapel. School age children will join us in the Sanctuary at the close
of our Worship Service.
We will close our Café early that day
so our volunteers can celebrate with their families. Thanks to all our

| | | | | THE SPIRITUAL LAW OF APPRECIATION
[The Old Testament prophet] “Elisha fully appreciated the mental and spiritual laws of prosperity, using them to multiply the widow’s oil, so that she might pay her debts and live comfortably. Charles Fillmore has written of this prosperity story: ‘Change your thought and increase your substance in the mind, as Elisha increased the oil for the widow. Get larger receptacles and plenty of them. Even a very small idea of substance may be added to and increased. The widow had a very small amount of oil, but as the prophet blessed it, it increased until it filled every vessel she could borrow from the neighbors.”
(Catherine Ponder in The Prospering Power of Love [Unity School of Christianity, 1966]
