It's Time to Order Hamantaschen Bring Orders to UCC on Sunday So You Get the Flavors You Prefer! |
|
Our friends at Congregation Beth Shalom are having their incredibly delicious fundraiser and are taking orders for homemade Hamantaschen.
Many UCC folks placed orders the past couple or years and enjoyed them, so we're invited to take part and place orders again this year.
Orders should be placed by February 4th and will be ready for pickup after March 2nd.
You can Click here to print the order form (pdf) or grab one at church on Sunday.
You can bring your order form and payment to church on Sunday and Russ will deliver them. When they're ready, we'll get them from CBS and have them at church for you to pick up.
Checks should be made out to: CBS Sisterhood |

Things may seem a little quiet leading up to our February 19th steel delivery. If we get any other news before then, we'll share it here.
We remain very grateful for the steadfast faith of all those whose gifts of
love and substance sustain our Church during this time of transition.
We are very glad to welcome old friends and new friends on Sundays on our
home campus. Watch this space as we give thanks together that God is clearing the way for us to go forward.
Our
beautiful new Church Home is being built for us in wisdom, love, and
divine timing and we are ready to receive it!

This Sunday: Leddy Hammock - What Is Love? |
|
Highlights:
lyrics to “That’s What Love Is” by Lisa
Aschmann, Karen Taylor Good, and Freebo
It’s a whisper you hear in the midst of your fear. It’s revealing.
It’s a part of the heart and it’s just
who we are. It’s so healing.
It’s the power inside, always wins over pride,
never judges, and it strengthens and comforts us all.
That's what love is. |
|
Last Sunday's Shining Words:
“Take courage; be stouthearted, wait for the LORD!” (Ps 27:13, 14).
What would I do today if I were brave? I am brave! |

The Doggie Toys Were Delivered |
|
| Last week Leddy and Russ delivered the toys that were so lovingly made during our Mitzvah Day gathering. The Humane Society was delighted to have them! |

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)
Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.
Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.
Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

Wednesday Evening Spiritual Treatment |
|
Wednesdays
7:00-7:30 PM
Our
Wed evening Prayer Services in the New Year from Jan. 7 until Ash
Wednesday will be based on the classic Unity text, Beginning Again: A
Guide To Taking A New Hold On Life, a self-help book by Frank B. Whitney
that aims to guide readers through the process of starting over and
rebuilding their lives. The book offers practical advice and exercises
to help readers identify their goals and create a plan to achieve them.
It also covers topics such as overcoming fear, building self-confidence,
and dealing with setbacks. With a focus on personal growth and
empowerment, Beginning Again is a helpful resource for anyone looking to
make positive changes.
Frank B. Whitney was the first Editor of Unity's Daily Word magazine, which was first published in July of 1924 and circulated continuously to the present day, treasured by people of many faiths, the world over. Beginning with the first issue on July 1, 1924, Whitney wrote nearly all the messages and many of the poems in the issues for the first 14 years of its existence, until his passing in 1938. Whitney’s obituary in the Kansas City Star recalled, “The editor carried into his writings and work for the Unity School of Christianity a natural buoyancy and optimism.” |

"There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer, no disease that enough love will not heal, no door that enough love will not open, no gulf that enough love will not bridge, no wall that enough love will not throw down, no sin that enough love will not redeem…. It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble, how hopeless the outlook, how muddled the tangle, how great the mistake -- a sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all. If only you could love enough you would be the happiest and most powerful being in the world" (Emmet Fox, Power through Constructive Thinking). |

OUR WEEKLY AFFIRMATION:
"THE MORE I LOVE, THE MORE POWERFUL AND HAPPY I AM!"
