Contractor Bill Botelho has been busy lining up his subcontractors and has now awarded the concrete/masonry, plumbing and electrical contracts.
We've created a new "construction updates" page on the UCC website that includes the terrific video of the site blessing and groundbreaking ceremony that Deb Frisch created. The URL is: https://www.unityofclearwater.org/construction-updates/
We
are deeply grateful for the steadfast faith of all those whose gifts of
love and substance sustain our Church during this time of transition.
We're very glad to welcome old friends and new friends on Sundays on our
home campus.
Our
beautiful new Church Home is being built for us in wisdom, love, and
divine timing and we are ready to receive it! |

This Sunday: Sean Schrader - The Power of Service |
|
Highlights:
Lyrics to “Do All You Can” by “Devotion”
“This is the gift they gave to us, to share wherever we go: ‘Be the change you wish to see in the world.’
Now I understand what they wanted us to know. Do all you can with what you have, in the time you have in the place you are, do all you can.”
This is what I came here for: to do all I can. Do all you can with what you have, in the time
you have in the place you are, do all you can.” |
|
UCC member, Sean Schrader,
earned his undergraduate degree in business management and his Masters
Degree in business administration at the University of South Florida.
(USF). Throughout his life, Sean has been fortunate to be afforded
opportunities to get involved in his community of Tampa Bay, FL, seeing
first-hand the tangible impacts that come from working to create
positive change at the local level. Specifically, Sean has served as the
District Office Manager for now-former US Congressman Charlie Crist.
Sean has also served as the Campus Governor at the USF St. Petersburg
campus and as a Global Goals Ambassador for the United Nations
Association of the United States. All these experiences have
strengthened his knowledge of this work.
Also, The Rev. Dr. Leddy Hammock performed the wedding ceremony for Sean's parents, Rosalind and Carl Schrader, in the 1990's. |

Last Sunday's Shining Words:
“If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them…” (Jn. 20:23).
“Let me forgive. I know I can be the change I want to see. If it’s to be, it’s up to me.” |

Heart of the House - Sue Riley |
|
Almost 40 years ago I answered an ad in the paper for an accompanist at Unity Church of Clearwater. I had been brought up Catholic and thought Unity might be a cult, but they were offering a weekly check, so I applied. Leddy was pregnant with Levi at the time. I was hooked from the very first service, vowing to attend services even if I failed the audition. However, I did get the job and the rest, as they say, is history.
Fast forward 38 years, almost a lifetime. In 2018 I reconnected with my college boyfriend Mike on Facebook. His profile picture was a palm tree, so it was hard to even figure out if I wanted to send a friend request. That step of faith and courage reconnected us and since Mike lives in SC, we’ve been doing the “long distance” relationship dance for almost 7 years.
Mike and I would now like to reside in the same state, so I have made the difficult decision to move to SC. UCC has been my spiritual home since that fateful audition and this decision was not made lightly. I have such deep roots here at UCC, and such incredible, lifelong friendships and I plan to maintain those friendships. My heart will always reside at UCC.
I plan to “retire” once I make the move which gives me plenty of freedom to visit FL. So, it won’t be “goodbye” per se, but more like “see you later.” |

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)
Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.
Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.
Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

About Unity's Winged Globe
|
|
|
|
|
We're checking mail every day, so checks sent through the mail are fine, as are checks sent from your bank's online bill pay.
Your gifts to Unity Church of Clearwater are tax deductible as allowed
by law. Our life-affirming work is supported by the loving and generous
offerings of friends like you. Please give as your grateful spirit
leads you. You can also support Unity Church of Clearwater by leaving a
legacy of prayer and hope in your will or estate plan. Right now,
right where you are, you are blessing this ministry through your loving
thoughts and you, also, are blessed.
If you feel led you might consider setting up an automatic recurring donation. This can be done through your bank's bill pay or on the Church's donation form.
We've also been asked about the processing fees the church has to pay when the online form is used. The fees are a small percentage (3-4%) of the total donation, however there is an option to cover fees that you may select if you feel so inclined. Every little bit helps and we're grateful if you decide to turn that option on.

“Those who are the healthiest and happiest are people who were habitually aware of the needs of others and tried to aid and support and give to them in every way that came to their mind. Always, when service to others was substituted for self-service, the result was peace of mind and a corresponding harmony of the body…. you have not lived a perfect day unless you have done something for someone who will never be able to repay you, unless you have been somewhat more loving and friendly to others than they deserved, unless you allow the radiant spirit to flow forth from you as a source of joy and comfort and support to all who pass your way” (Eric Butterworth, lecture at Unity of NYC, ca 1975). |
|
OUR WEEKLY AFFIRMATION:
“BECAUSE I FOCUS ON WHAT I CAN GIVE, RATHER THAN WHAT I CAN GET, I AM EMPOWERED, SUCCESSFUL, AND FULFILLED IN ALL THAT I DO.”
THANK YOU, GOD! |
