Contractor Bill Botelho, continues the process of getting mobilized. Today Bill had a planning/scheduling meeting with the following subs: Grading, Concrete, Plumbing, and Electric. Surveying is being scheduled and if all goes according to plan, he expects to bring in fill dirt and start grading in 2-3 weeks.
We
are deeply grateful for the steadfast faith of all those whose gifts of
love and substance sustain our Church during this time of transition.
We are very glad to welcome old friends and new friends on Sundays on our
home campus.
Our
beautiful new Church Home is being built for us in wisdom, love, and
divine timing and we are ready to receive it!

WINGS is our daytime Truth Book Study Group and is led by our UCC Minister of Education, The Reverend Cynthia Mackey.
The group includes men and women and there's always great discussion!
Make new friends, share ideas and explore Unity teachings in a supportive, positive environment!
WINGS will be studying the classic Unity text, What Are You?, by Imelda Octavia Shanklin.
Attending the WINGS group can earn credit toward becoming a UCC Prayer Chaplain. Please check with Cynthia for more info.

excellent adventure in allegorical Bible study, team-taught by
longtime friends, retired Reform Rabbi, Arthur Baseman and our Sr.
Minister, Leddy Hammock, sharing
insights into Hebrew Studies and Unity allegorical Bible
interpretation. It's awesome to see how these paths intertwine to teach
Truth!
Walk with these two longtime friends and colleagues who
are also longtime Bible scholars through intriguing stories in the Torah
with insights from the Gospels as well.
You
can just listen or you can also ask questions and join in the
discussion during this unique, rich, and fulfilling exploration.
Bring your favorite Bible version. Be ready to expand your understanding of scripture!

Dear Friends,
We are mindful of you, dear neighbors, and we stand with you in meeting the terrible anti-Semitism that we are witnessing together. We have not forgotten your kind hospitality in sheltering our Sunday services during the last few years. We have just finally received the construction permit that can finally signal the beginning of construction of our new church home on the campus. But we wanted you to know that we have not forgotten you, our dear friends, and we are adding this note to our upcoming enews, encouraging our Unity folks to send messages of encouragement and/or to attend your 7 pm Friday evening Shabbat services when possible, but mostly, to remain mindful of the kindness of your congregation and Beth Shalom by hosting us when we had nowhere else to turn and helping our Church to keep going when, without you, we do not know how we could have held on. Be safe and be blessed. We love you.

Leddy, thank you for reaching out. We are excited for you all to finally able to move forward in your construction process. It’s been a long, winding, frustrating road for you all. We appreciate your concern over the anti-Semitism in our world. Our level of effort for security and worry does make an impact on Jewish individuals and communities. We talk about it and wrestle with it all the time. Folks are certainly welcome at our Shabbat services and honestly, our continued work in partnership helps me feel like we are pushing back against anti-Semitism and all the horrible xenophobia that is plaguing our country and world. That the act of spreading sunshine and not hate, of showing our dialogue and cooperation, makes the world stronger and fills it with peace.
