Prayers in the Wake of Tragedy in Texas
God of this moment, when the flood waters have swept away too much, and the silence feels heavy, we feel Your presence with us. For those who are grieving, You bring steady breath. For those still searching, You bring strength that holds. For all of us, You bring the kind of courage that stays when answers may seem obscured. You help us face what is here and what is still unknown. We sense Your presence in the waiting. We feel Your nearness in the heartbreak. We rely upon Your love in the hands that hold each other now. We seek You every moment and we find You with us in the now. Amen.

“For those who made their passage in the flood waters, we breathe a blessing. We remember their warmth, their joy, the buoyancy of their dreams. We remember in our hearts the smiles they smiled with their whole faces, the love they shared with their whole hearts. We honor their kindness. We remember them with great fondness and admiration. May the Light they so freely gave fully embrace them now.”
UCC Has Donated To Kerr County Flood Relief Fund
"The Kerr County Flood Relief Fund supports relief and rebuilding efforts after the flood of July 4, 2025. Your generosity helps our neighbors recover.

The Community Foundation - a 501(c)(3) public charity serving the Texas Hill Country - will direct funds to vetted organizations providing rescue, relief, and recovery efforts as well as flood assistance. The Fund will support the communities of Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point, and Comfort. All donations are tax-deductible, and you will receive a receipt for your gift.

Grants from the Fund will support nonprofit organizations, first responder agencies, and local governments actively involved in response, relief, and recovery efforts. While we are unable to award grants directly to individuals or families - or to fund repairs to private property or replace personal belongings - we are committed to channeling resources to the trusted organizations working tirelessly to help our neighbors in need. Together, we can make a meaningful difference during this challenging time.

Donations can also be mailed to the Kerr County Relief Fund Office at 241 Earl Garrett Street, Kerrville, Texas, 78028

We Are So Grateful!
Construction Update
The plumber is coordinating with the city to get the construction water meter installed.

Bill is still waiting to hear form the steel supplier about their delivery schedule. As soon as he gets the delivery date confirmed, the grubbing will be done to prep the site for construction. The concrete company has brought some equipment to the site in anticipation of getting the green light to begin.

We are deeply grateful for the steadfast faith of all those whose gifts of love and substance sustain our Church during this time of transition.  We are very glad to welcome old friends and new friends on Sundays on our home campus.

Our beautiful new Church Home is being built for us in wisdom, love, and divine timing and we are ready to receive it!

This Sunday: Leddy Hammock - Get Out of the Way
Highlights:

Lyrics to “Get out of the Way” by Eddie Watkins, Jr.:

“Runnin’ ‘round fixing this and that,
Giving it up to God and then taking it back.
Just release and let it go.
You don’t even have to think about it no more.
….Get out of the way and let God do Its thing.

You look like the weight of the world’s on your back.
Just take a deep breath and cut yourself some slack.
All that drama ain’t good for you.
You couldn’t change what is if you wanted to….
Get out the way, let God do Its thing.

The sun is gonna shine and the river’s gonna flow.
The tide’s gonna rise without your say so.
The universe is working and the good is flowing.
You don’t plant a seed and then dig it up and see if it’s growing….
Get out of the way and let God do Its thing.”
Last Sunday's Shining Words:

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God” (Mt. 5:9).

“We have the precious present and our presence holds the key to a world that is more loving, as we share the dream of peace.

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)

Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.

Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.

Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

Jesus Christ Heals was written by Charles Fillmore, Cofounder of the Unity Movement, in 1936. Charles Fillmore truly stands out as a great American Mystic, so his writings are not always easily understood by Truth students who feel drawn to them. The best way is through the experience of prayer and meditation. Our Sr. Minister has created a unique series of twelve prayer services, embodying the essence of each of the twelve chapters of this fascinating volume.

Join Leddy and experience the deep thoughts of Charles Fillmore every Wednesday evening from May 21 through August.
